Heading a EUR 25bn AuM boutique within Nordea AM's boutique structure. The AIMS team of +25 people across 5 different locations have responsibility for two main areas: The AI team is managing all Private Equity and Private Credit products, which entail Fund of Funds, Co-investment and secondary transactions. The program extends across open-ended evergreen funds to customized solutions for large institutional clients. The MS team is responsible for all external managers that are managing more than 30 funds on behalf of Nordea Asset Management in a white-label format. The program predominantly covers liquid ucits fixed income and equity funds with an aggregate AuM of EUR 20bn. Recent personal accolades include: "Most influential selector in the Nordics" by Citywire in 2022 and "Personality of the year" by Nordic Fund Selection Awards in 2020.

As Head of Fixed Income, I have the overall responsibility for all white label and GFU funds covering Fixed Income, Hedge Funds and Real Asset strategies. I have the privilege of managing a small group of highly skilled investment professionals based in both Copenhagen and Stockholm.

I’m responsible for selection of external fixed income managers that Nordea partners with, either for a white label setup (external manager acting as a sub-manager to a Nordea branded fund) or Guided Fund Universe setup (externally branded funds distributed to Nordea clients through various fund platforms like Private Banking and Unit Link). In addition to the selection part I’m also responsible for the monitoring of all our current external fixed managers. Due to these improvements, Jan Samsø and I have given more than 50 search presentations to institutional investors in Scandinavia, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Israel and Brazil. Presentations that step by step show our search process and reasons for excluding managers along the way.

Primary responsibility is managing tactical balanced mandates for segregated accounts, private banking clients and pools of retail clients. This includes day to day portfolio management, writing portfolio and performance comments for the monthly client reporting, participating in client meetings to outline our portfolio strategy and expectations for the future, building quantitative models to support investment strategy and provide input to the monthly asset allocation committee meetings.Secondary responsibilities include selection and monitoring of external asset managers who are sub advising Handelsinvest (mutual fund that Handelsbanken Asset Management cooperates with) and trade implementation.Besides the above mentioned responsibilities I continually work with integration of information from various vendors like Bloomberg and Reuters and connecting those with Excel and Access. These portfolio models are used extensively by both the internal equity and fixed income groups.

My primary responsibility was to select and monitor external managers within listed equities and non-Danish fixed income. During my stay at Teachers Pension & Life I developed the frame work and models that supported the selection process and the models for the monitoring of managers. The selection process covered writing rfp’s to publish on IPE-Quest, screening quantitative and qualitative data, staging beauty contest, negotiating management fees, finalizing IMA (Investment Management Agreement) and arranging setup between selected manager and mutual fund administrator in Denmark.

My primary area of responsiblity was advising Danish Life and Pension companies and Danish Asset Managers with regards to selection of external asset managers. To participate in the production of the annual report on the Danish Life and Pension companies. In this report I primarily analyzed the investment returns of the various pension funds, both on a top level and at the individual asset class level. To participate in the production of the annual report on the Danish Mutual Funds business. In this report I primarily analyzed the investment returns and strategies of the various Danish mutual funds.
