I continued to use to help our customers reach their goals. I also developed the simulation-based technical service named DynSOx from concept to market launch. DynSOx helps sulfuric acid plants understand and alleviate problems related to unstable conditions to ensure a more sustainable process. DynSOx increased sales, brought existing customers closer and consolidated market position.

I helped sulfuric acid plants across the globe reach their goals. I frequently travelled to customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and helped them understand their challenges so they could be addressed. From the office in Denmark I analyzed operating and performance data and suggested solutions to (potential) customers and account managers. As service engineer I interacted with many people including account managers, customers, marketing, R&D and external service providers.

With five first-author and three second-author papers in journals such as Nature Comm., Nano Letters and JACS, I advanced the field of molecular electronics. I studied quantum effects in the electrical conductance of single molecules. Specifically, I developed advanced computer simulations, analyzed data and performed experiments to extract intuitive models that can be understood by both chemists and physicists. I also taught math to biochemists, physics to chemists and chemistry to biologists with with outstanding results.

Using a Scanning Tunneling Microscope Break Junction technique (STM-BJ) I measured the conductance of single molecules. Alongside I simulating the experiments using numerical methods. This allowed complimentary interpretation of experiments and calculations and rapid validation/rejection of hypotheses. I gained lab experience and developed my coding skills in Igor Pro.

I took part in an outreach program to promote the natural sciences to the general public and especially to students in public schools. I communicated on a number of platforms including television, radio, youtube, stage shows and traditional teaching but also took part in more strategic efforts such as hiring new people and developing teaching material.I developed strong communication and leadership skills.

I developed my programming skills in Python and wrote a module to visualize the results of advanced electronic-structure calculations.
