In relation to the Training Ship DANMARK, maintaining standards of ISM and ISPS - including internal audits of same. Overseeing certification of vessel and crew, as well as being involved with vessel maintenance.

Captain of all the types of vessels in the company, in an international trade between Denmark, Norway and Sweden. This included the High Speed Ferry "Fjord Cat" (Incat 90 m), the new building of the first LNG passenger ferry in the world in an international trade - "Stavangerfjord" and also the conventional ferry "Oslofjord". An operation with many different - and also - difficult ports of calls. Often with challenging weather situations.Always a pleasure to be supported by many qualified and enthusiastic crew members, which resulted in a successful and growing operation.

Educated and licensed Ship Surveyor from the Danish Maritime Authority. Surveys carried out on both new buildings and existing vessels. In excess of the operational surveys, carried out on different types of vessels under national flag, the position as Ship Surveyor was extended to include the position as a PSC inspector under Paris MOU, surveying foreign flag vessels when calling Danish ports.

Staff Captain on board the Rhapsody of the Seas, initially cruising in the Western Caribbean. Later, the vessel was transferred to the Pacific Ocean, where Alaska, Hawaii and Southern Pacific were planned as seasonal areas. Rhapsody of the Seas was at that time assigned for introducing new markets for the customers. This included Australia, New Zealand and many countries in the Far East. The job as a Staff Captain is covering quite a number of different functions, such as the overall standard of safety, security, maintenance and administration of the crew. Many challenges with a large number of crew of more than 50 nationalities, and a mix of so many qualifications - but also a great honour! Occasionally, I was also covering the position as a releiving Captain.

The different positions were held on the different vessels, and at different time, including operational areas in the entire Europe, including the Western Mediteranean and the Canaries. U.K., the Baltic Sea, and the entire Norwegian coast were also seasonal cruising areas. As Captain, the seasonal cruises visited Greenland, Canada and the entire Caribbean. On annual cruises out of Southampton, the destinations were as far as Manaus on the Amazon. Occasionally, the vessels were calling a number of challenging - but also very interesting ports.

Chief Officer on board the small cruise and expedition vessels the "Clipper Adventurer" from Clipper Cruise Line and the "Endeavour" from Special Expeditions. The Chief Officer was in charge of safety, security and maintenance. Many places and ports of call were very secluded, and as such - Zodiac operations would be required, which at times could be very challenging. Operation areas included arctic waters on the Northern and Southern hemisphere. More specifically, I was on board whilst on the west and east coast of South America and the Caribbean. For the northern hemisphere summer season, the cruises covered the entire Mediterranean, Europe, U.K. and the Baltic Sea.
