Being Present Psychology is a private psychology practice on the North Shore of Sydney, managed and operated by Anders Hansson.Anders has over 18 years of experience as a psychologist in the areas of child, adolescent and family psychology, and positive behaviour support. He is passionate about helping people of all ages to free themselves from psychological rigidity that hinders growth and personal fulfilment, to willingly embrace their lives, commit to their values with the ultimate gift of being able to pursue what really matters to them. Anders trained to become a psychologist at Macquarie University and commenced his professional career in the field of developmental psychology where he worked with children, adolescents and adults with disabilities and their families. In 2011, he became a Medicare registered psychologist and commenced a private part-time psychology practice in Crows Nest on the North Shore of Sydney. Anders' approach to psychology is to understand the presenting concern from an accepting, curious and empathic stance that fosters openness and hope for the person that change is possible through the emergence of psychological flexibility through a range of mindfulness-based cognitive approaches. Over the span of his career he has developed a wealth of experience working with individuals and families on matters of concerns that impact their quality of life from a psychological and relational perspective.
