Various assignments as consultant and advisor to SKL International regarding development issues in East Europe and the Western Balkans: - Citizens´participation. Study tour organized by SKL International for Bosnian mayors to learn from Swedish experience.- Decentralisation and territorial reforms in Ukraine (U-LEAD). Local Administrative Service Centers. - Kosovo Statistics. Assignment by EU Office in Pristina and Sida to assess the viability of a planned joint project (2018-2021) in support of Kosovo Agency of Statistics.- Agenda 2030 in Ukraine. An assignment to assess and make recommendations on how the Swedish Government can support the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to cities and municipalities in Ukraine. May – September 2018.- Midterm Review of a project in Bosnia-Herzegovina in support of the development of the Associations of Municipalities and Cities. November 2019 - January 2020.

Vilnius

Advising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Of Lithuania on the making of country strategies for development assistance, with a focus on countries like Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. Sharing the Swedish experience. Two workshops of 2 days, in November 2018 and in February 2019. Planned and carried out by Mr Klas Markensten (also former Sida manager) and myself. A third workshop in January 2020.

The Unit for Western Balkans and Turkey at Sida. Focus on Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Turkey. Since 2015 three countries of Latin America have been added: Bolivia, Colombia and Guatemala. My responsibilities have included the following:- Coordination of the work to develop new Sida strategies for cooperation countries in the Western Balkans, Turkey and - in 2015 - Latin America. - Planning and reporting of the Sida strategies, with a focus on regional projects and programmes.- Adviser regarding projects in support of SMEs and private sector development.- Cooperation with the European Commission regarding development projects.- Contact person for SKL (Swedish Association for Municipalities and Regions) and for Lantmäteriet (National Land Cadastre Agency).

Bosnia-Herzegovina (Bih)

Head of Sweden´s development cooperation in BiH with an annual budget of €20 million for projects in support of good governance, economic development and environmental infrastructure.

Development cooperation in East Europe and Central Asia. In 1995 we had cooperation in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. More countries were added; Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Kirgistan and Tajikistan. After 2000 field offices were started. By 2003 we had a team of 18 persons in Stockholm and 6 field offices in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Tajikistan.
