My tasks were to further develop the Estonian business and establish the company in Latvia and Lithuania. During these two years I visited 6-8 company visits every week in general and had the task to help companies to improve their HR department. SLG provided great trainings as well as the Thomas system for profiling professionals.

My tasks was to increase the sales and improve the sales team of Swedish branch/Roxor Industry Ltd.

I establishing the office which included finding a location for the office, hiring its staff and starting all projects between the Nordic Countries and North-Western Russia. We also started small information points in Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Petrozavodsk. Every year we gave hundreds of Russians scholarships, so that they could study or do research in one or more of the Nordic countries.Together with the universities in NW Russia we established education in most Scandinavian and Finnish languages at the universities/colleges of Pskov, Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk. This gave hundreds of young students a possibility to learn a Nordic language and also get a good insight into Nordic culture, politics, business and life in general. In July 1999 the office had 16 employees.

I was working with implementing the cooperation between Stockholm University and St. Petersburg University,Russia. The main task was to establish CPAS (Center for Public Administration Studies) at St. Petersburg University. The job gave me a strong network at St. Petersburg University and it was also a good school where I learned how things were working in Russia and how to make them work.The job also gave me the opportunity to compare a swedish job environment with a russian job environment. Both having its pros and cons, but also its similarities.
