Manufacturing Engineer
Current• Design, manufacture and program final product, individual components, prototypes, tooling and manufacturing devices (custom design fixtures and devices for in-house use).• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions with appropriate training and standards in place• Evaluate new product components or changes to components/BOMs and determine tooling requirements, number of operators required, line speed, and input to pricing and pilot process• Estimate manufacturing costs, develop time standards and develop processes for various operations.• Lead in developing new operation layouts to maximize utilization of floor space and labor efficiency.• Key contributor to capital equipment selection and purchases.• Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce non-value added activities and increase quality, delivery, safety, customer satisfaction and minimize production costs.• Coordinate tooling to support design specifications and schedule for new products or enhancements.• Supports and troubleshoots manufacturing problems and processes, prioritizing those related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency• Develop and define standard procedures and processes, responsible for operator training, ergonomic assessment, and improvement events
