I have worked with equities my whole career, of which 15 years as Portfolio Manager (Analyst for 4 yrs) for domestic and international equities at two of the biggest swedish institutions, Skandia Asset Management and Handelsbanken Kapitalförvaltning (as it was called then).In real estate I cut my teeth in 1990 as an equity analyst of that sector just as we entered the swedish property and banking crisis. This very first role included being informal liasonofficer between equities and property deps within Skandia Asset management. As a consequence, I had some experience from workout situations (eg restructuring of swedish property co Diös).In parallel, I have a 30 year experience as co-owner of office real estate.In Emerging Markets, for Skandia AM, I became a boardmember of the Russian Prosperity Fund (now aggregate AUM of 4 billion euros) for from their launch, until we exited around yr 2000. Also, I oversaw Skandia’s indirect fundholdings in Eastern Europe, beside my role with our russian exposure.In fixed income I have worked with highly qualified colleagues (ex fixed inc PMs) the last 15 years in riskmanagement, validating security prices, corporate actions and datamanagement for a all securities, of which fix inc is a considerable part.Being the son of two lifelong entrepreneurs, I have a practical business sense, an experience that I have followed up with a 15 year ownership/relationship with two startups, one offering a software operating system for open broadband platforms (Kommunikationsoperatörsystem). Here I learnt the hard way that breakthrough orders do not equate to cashflow breaking even ;-)Finally,I have an interest in how society works for all of us. Therefore I am currently a mentor for MBA-students at my Alma Mater SSE. Previously I was a mentor at Sigtunaskolan and a boardmember of their Alumni-org for some 20 years.In line with this I am engaged in politics for the Liberal party and a boardmember for ”Liberalerna i Huddinge”.
