Almost three years have gone by: What a journey, and one that is far from overAs we all know, time never stands still. One day gives way to the next, and when you're busy with so many exciting tasks, it's easy to forget to stop and take stock.It's been that way for me too, but I think it's time to change that. It's been almost three years since I started as CEO at Landmeco.Due to external circumstances, I also became Sales Director in addition to being CEO. I was only supposed to be a 'replacement' for six months until a new sales director was hired. That turned out to be two years, until Jesper Rasmussen started on 1 January 2024.Even though the plan wasn't for two years, I can say today that I wouldn't have missed it.I had the opportunity to help create the plan that we are now well on our way to implementing, and I'm proud to say that Landmeco's turnover will grow by 50 percent in 2024. At the same time, the many visits to customers have given me invaluable experience, sharpening my ability to analyse and assess customers so that they get exactly the products and services they want.In all modesty, I can say that I have the tools and skills to manage the commercial side and a sales organisation that delivers great results internationally. The hard numbers are one thing, but something else I can look back on with satisfaction from my time as Sales Director is that the many visits, I have made to our customers around the world have given me a great insight into the importance of culture.Culture is just extremely important in all relationships. If the salespeople approaching current and potential customers don't understand their cultural background, it's a bad match. And a bad match does not lead to good agreements or cooperation.That's why I'm very satisfied that the sales organisation - just like the other parts of Landmeco - has the right competencies, both professionally and culturally.
