About Anders P Hakansson

Extensive experience of leadership within academic institutions in the US and Sweden. Heading a project portfolio with teams focused on developing vaccines as well as antimicrobial and immunomodulatory strategies (antibiotics sensitizers and probiotics) to combat infection with virus and antibiotic-resistant organisms. These efforts have resulted in identification of vaccine targets as well as factors in human milk that can sensitize antibiotic-resistant bacteria to the antibiotics they are resistant to. These findings are being developed in close collaboration with the biotech arena.Long-term experience with scientific communication through the acquisition of grant funding, publication of reviews and original research in high impact journals. A 25-year track record as a scientific educator and supervisor and mentor in basic, graduate and post-graduate medical and biomedical education.
