Postdoc fellow since 2016 with main interests are low frequency electromagnetic methods and magnetic field sensing in mathematical modeling as well as experimental work. My PhD studies was within model assisted probability of detection for aerospace applications and has an interest also in NDE reliability, damage tolerance and prognosis. Inspection of glass and carbon fiber reinforced polymers is a challenge and presents multiple opportunities for a wide range of low frequency electromagnetic methods such as eddy current and capacitive imaging techniques. These materials are highly anisotropic and are susceptible to multiple damage modes. Composite materials are very important for future designs in many different areas. My main research interest at the NDE lab at MSU is to explore novel electromagnetic NDE to assess the integrity of composites.
