I have extensive design experience in most commercial EDA tools and technologies on the market and a wide experience in most fields of the semiconductor industry. I have defined the architecture for and headed thetechnical development of the company’s new fabless frontend design environment as well asevaluated and provided decision material for the selection of technology libraries, EDAtools and silicon vendors. I also implemented the design environment framework andgraphical user interface, to be used by all hardware design and verification engineers atall sites in the company.

    In this position I was working as a digital SoC technology and development expert witha primary role as a technical leader for the development of the world leading combinedLTE/WCDMA/GSM access ASIC’s. In this role I have been instrumental in findingtechnical solutions in several critical areas and been responsible for securing the qualityof internal and external deliveries from the projects. I was also responsible for drivingthe daily technical work of the 50 to 80 engineers in the different projects and I think Ihave, with my wide experience, achieved a unique ability to understand and explain howa certain task fits into the “bigger picture”. In addition to this I also initiated and headed the development of, as well as implemented key functionality, a LTE modem hardware power improvement project. The outcome of this project was dynamic power improvements of up to 32% and standby power improvements by up to 39%.

I also initiated and headed the technical development of a new company wide IP development process, methodology and design environment project which was successfully rolled out simultaneously on four sites worldwide. In addition to this, I defined the architecture for and headed the technical development of the company’s 2D/3D/Video/Imaging multimedia engine, which has been used in a very wide range of Ericsson products. I also defined and implemented all control, memory management and cache related functionality contained in this multimedia engine.

I introduced, for the first time in thecompany, state-of-the-art DFT and dynamic power management techniques inside themodem module, which since has been used as a base for future modem solutions.
