Gina Andersen is the Site Engagement Lead for Cisco’s 7,500 employees in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) region of North Carolina. She executes the internal and external employee engagement strategies that have maintained a tight-knit culture and sense of community as the company has transitioned into a hybrid working environment. She leads signature events, communications, community partnerships, and inclusive leadership facilitation that have resulted in a differentiated campus culture.Prior to joining Cisco, Gina spent seven years with Triangle Community Foundation. During her tenure, she oversaw the Foundation’s scholarship program, played a key role in developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, and created and managed the first community development and environmental grant programs.After graduating summa cum laude from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Gina received her Master’s degree and Nonprofit Leadership certificate from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. With an education in urban planning, real estate, and community development, her areas of interest and expertise are affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization, environmental sustainability, and caring and planning for the aging population.Gina grew up on a farm in Central Nebraska, and moved to North Carolina in 2009. Since moving to the Triangle, she has been a volunteer with Triangle Family Services, EarthShare North Carolina, the Durham Center for Senior Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is a two-time Goodmon Fellow of Leadership Triangle. In her free time she enjoys catching up with friends and family, taking classes at the YMCA, and spending time with her four-legged children, Ella, Charlie, Lucy, and Leo.
