As a learning coach I work directly with students to achieve their academic goals. Together we discuss pace in a flexibly-paced program. We identify strengths students have and recognize skills they can use on their projects. Together we overcome obstacles and decide on a process to conquer challenges. We review feedback together and reflect and apply that feedback to current and future projects. Best of all we celebrate accomplishments together. It is an honor to be a part of our student's educational journeys.

• Act as student, faculty, and staff support through the preparation of course schedules, coordinating student activities, maintaining student record databases, and processing new applicants.• Coordinate marketing and outreach efforts by researching marketing outlets, calculating program statistics, managing social media and preparing and conducting student surveys.• Manage financial transactions, serving as a purchasing card holder and processing invoices, deposits and requisitions.• Recruit, hire, and supervise up to three student employees and provide training and professional development through regular one-on-one meetings. • Research and develop English as a Second Language Service Learning course and support faculty as the Service Learning Coordinator.• Serve as a temporary Designated School Official by advising international students on immigration laws and procedures and liaising between Department of Homeland Security and English Language Center students.Additional Trainings:University of Denver Employee Trainings • 60 + hours of technical, supervisory, management, and safety trainings provided by university departments.

Youth Development Coordinator • Directed fundraising events for student-led community projects that provided care-packages for families in need, donated disaster relief funds to Albania’s Red Cross, procured laptop computers for student use and earned funds for camp.• Fostered student awareness about nature conservation and protection by co-founding the Outdoor Ambassador Club; facilitating youth hikes, service learning projects and weekly educational meetings.• Guided a group of students to Outdoor Ambassadors’ Environmental education camp, participated as a camp counselor and facilitated camp activities. • Coordinated student participation in presentations by a U.S. Ambassador and embassy staff through the Meet America program at the United States Embassy in Tiranë, Albania.Teacher of English as a Foreign Language • Designed curriculum, planned lessons and taught extracurricular immersion English courses to over 80 Albanian students ranging in age from 6-18.• Advised a local student-run newspaper, managed the budget and equipment, coordinated editorial staff meetings, organized community projects and oversaw the publication of each edition. • Established a collection of authentic materials for English language students and teachers through the donation of over 200 media resources to the local library.
