At Crunchfish I was responsible for research and development of core Computer Vision technologies based exclusively on Deep Learning. Work included following the current research publications and implementing anything of relevance to their core business. 2D Computer VisionI introduced Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for detection, tracking and keypoint regression. Contributions include a highly efficient CNN inference engine in ARM NEON assembly that allowed them to be early adopters of CNNs. 3D Computer VisionI designed their 3D hand skeleton solution, where a monocular image produces a 3D skeleton in camera space. Technologies include efficient transformer architectures for increased performance.Generative AII researched and implemented state of the art generative AI solutions for the generation of hand images based on annotations. Areas included diffusion processes and diffusion transformers.
