Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Architect at Schultz, spearheading the technical vision and feature design involved close collaboration with the Product Owner to define strategic roadmaps and key milestones. Project scopes were managed and split into milestones to enable the delivery of larger features in smaller, manageable stages while improving platform performance. Responsibilities included feature development and maintenance across a diverse portfolio of newer and legacy systems, utilizing various programming languages, OIDC, WS-Fed, and SAML-based STS solutions for SSO, and overseeing multiple products and modules. Technical responsibility was held for a team of 5 developers in Copenhagen, and until last year, a team of 4 developers in Poland, when the company downsized the team. Integration of optional products into the main platform was improved through Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and the strangler fig pattern.

As a Senior Software Developer on the products team I was brought on firstly to implement and design a new OpenID Connect STS based on IdentityServer for a new set of mobile apps. After his project was completed, I was a team member on the Schultz Booking solution - an API-based system that serves as the backend for the JOBNET Booking flow, enabling unemployed citizens in Denmark to view and book meetings with their respective caseworkers directly in their calendars. The system is heavily integrated with third-party governmental systems, and I integrated a Command pattern that ensures a best effort “undo” / transaction pattern, integrations with Microsoft Graph (Teams), Single Sign-On (SSO) and bootstrapping complex parts of the React frontend.

I was the technical lead of a small AI team with a Data Scientist to enhance efficiency in Danish job centers by testing various hypotheses from the lead product owner and analysts. My responsibility was ensuring that the APIs were “production ready”. Our first project, "ASTA," was an API-based solution that predicted the risk of long-term unemployment for citizens after 1-2 weeks of unemployment, using a custom ETL pipeline and Azure ML Studio. Our second project, "Intelligent Match," was a Sparc-based recommender system acquired by Schultz that suggested jobs based on a CV's past experience, skills, job titles, and education. Our team was also responsible for decoupling the system from AWS, improving model accuracy, and preparing the product for deployment in governmental agencies.

As a Senior Software Developer at Schultz, I worked as a full stack developer on several large government projects. The projects were larger web based solutions and usually involved complex business rules bounded by laws and regulations. Additionally, I organized innovation days and hackathons for the company, fostering creativity and teamwork. A notable success was a competition where teams developed a neural network to identify "Hotdog" or "Not Hotdog," inspired by the TV show Silicon Valley.

Working as a lone consultant right out of university, I led Identity Management projects for large government agencies, utilizing Microsoft Identity Management Server to deliver secure and reliable solutions. Additionally, I served as an external developer on the borger.dk project, specifically working on CIDR, an Identification and Delegation of Rights system. This project was based on Thinktecture IdentityServer and catered to both editors and external services, ensuring a robust and scalable system for managing user access and permissions.
