Living and working abroad was a once in a lifetime experience. After five years, we wanted to relocate to the U.S. to raise our children closer to family. After conducting a nationwide, dual-career job search, my wife, who is also a corporate litigator received an offer in Charlotte, NC, which allowed her to remain in the aerospace industry. Not only was this a dream opportunity for her, but it was an opportunity for me to demonstrate my personal commitment to DEI, particularly gender equality. I voluntarily resigned my position to support my wife's career and family as we relocated to a new city and welcomed our second child. Nobody could have anticipated the Covid-19 pandemic, and I became the primary daytime caregiver for our three-year old son and infant daughter.
