I lead teams of 14 people and am responsible for implementing controls to reduce the company's exposure to tax issues;I lead accounting, tax, cash management, accounts receivable and payable and internal controls activities.Implementation of productivity gain projects resulting in the delivery of cost reductions in the financial area.

I reported to the CFO and was in charge of accounting, tax, account payable and fixed assets departments;I implemented accounting standards (IFRS) tha were not adopted by the company, as revenue recognition and leases and improved the financial statements disclousure;I participated in Board of Directors and Audit Comitte meetings, giving information on accounting and internal controls aspects;I actively participated in the due diligence process, whose objective was preparing the company valuation and defining the privatization model.

Principal financial executive of the company in Brazil and the one in charge of accounting for operations in Latin America, which includes Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Venezuela. I was in charge of the accounting, tax departments and reports, which included FP&A. I was responsible of internal controls and compliance with SOX standards. I was responsible for for handling external and internal auditors, as well the tax authorities, in addition to the preparation and follow-up of the budget/forecast.I took part, as a local coordinator, in the implementation of the global ERP (JDE) at the Brazilian branch, working with multidisciplinary and multicultural team (with Americans, Dutch, French and Spanish members).I implemented several new tax requirements, such as tax SPED and electronic tax invoice.I attended quarterly meetings to present global and local results of the company.I led a team of 8 people and reported back to the CFO South America and Global Controller.
