In my time at CCX Media, I have edited over 1700 videos, including interview packages and promos covering governmental news for nine cities. I have taken on all aspects of video productions from pre-production meetings with our city coordinators to editing and final touches like color correction. When producer was added to my responsibilities, I started writing scripts for our videos. I also took on project management for our production team using Microsoft Planner and Teams. I write web stories and accompanying copy for social media posts.

I joined Northwest Community Television (CCX Media) as a Videographer and Editor for a 6 and 1/2 minute government news show. Upon my hiring, I created new animated branding graphics and was instrumental in leading my fellow editor and producers to strategize a new show concept. My idea was to streamline our production in a way that would also enhance our content.Following an organizational rebranding as CCX Media, I created new branding elements that matched our company guidelines. The design received an honorable mention from the NATOA Governmental Programming Awards for in the Visual Arts category in 2018.

I worked as a freelancer editing videos for different local clients that included the University of Minnesota, TEDxTC, Walker Art Center, Emergence Pictures, and Girl Scouts River Valleys. The projects were a wide variety of styles including informational, marketing, music, interview, and multi-camera presentation videos.I helped clients make sure their creative vision came through in the final product. Sometimes that took multiple revisions, and I was there for the client through every step. Having clients return to me with more projects, proved to me that they were happy with my editing and graphics style and attention to detail.

While freelancing as a video editor, I worked as a visual merchandiser at JCPenney. I followed corporate guidelines for mannequin displays, graphics, and monthly floor resets. I also rearranged store fixtures, assisted customers, and performed annual inventory.

I joined the newly formed Institute on the Environment at the U of M and started the video production end of the communications team from the ground up. I performed all aspects of video production, including pre-production, shooting, editing, audio, and graphics. A highlight for me was directing the short documentary, Water for Mulobere, about a student water project in Uganda which went on to receive multiple awards.I also was part of the communications team that worked collaboratively to produce a series of text-driven "Big Question" videos. I created the animation for the videos that caught the eye of WWF, The Nature Conservancy, Scientific American, and Sundance Channel.

I was the video editor for National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg. I ingested and organized over 100 hours of nature and wildlife footage. I edited a 10-minute video of prairie footage which was included in an exhibit at the Bell Museum of Natural History at the University of Minnesota.I contributed to the business as a whole by organizing the stockroom of framed prints and developing a strategy to maintain it, in addition to assisting with shipping and inventory. I also created a way for the gallery to turn discarded test prints into bookmarks to sell, generating profits.

I joined the non-profit Oceana, which focuses on all issues related to oceans, as an intern. I worked on a pollution campaign against Royal Caribbean to pressure them to improve their ships' wastewater treatment. I supported the campaign manager in creating campaign materials, including some that were distributed on-board Royal Caribbean ships.Another goal of the campaign was to pass legislation that would further impact the cruise ship industry. I assisted by scheduling and attending lobby meetings on Capitol Hill. I prepared information materials for members of Congress for the meetings.As the cruise campaign was coming to a close during my tenure, I was tasked with researching potential topics for a next campaign with a pollution angle. I researched mercury pollution, its origins, and analyzed it for the makings of a full developed campaign with regulatory and corporate angles.
