I work the nap room for the preschool during school hours. After school, I am the lead teacher for one of the school-age aftercare classes. I teach a range of children from 1st grade to 5th grade. Mainly we focus on "learning through play." I try to help develop healthy social skills, leadership skills, and creativity. Through a verity of structured activities the children can explore their own personal interest and develop a new one.

I provided respite and hab care for special needs children in their homes. This included helping children with learning to do day to day task. For example: brushing their teeth, getting dresses, personal hygiene, homework, and chores.

I was a school nurse. When students did not feel well or got hurt, I helped take care of them. This included: Medicine, Band aides, ice packs, splints, temperature checks, calling parents, and more.

Helping students with special needs reach their personalized goals. Also teach them life skills. I work with seniors as well. I help remind them to take medicine and clean up. I also am a companion; someone they can take to about whatever is on their mind.

Working on IEP goals, helping inclusion students become more independent at school, Mostly, worked one on one with a child but I was also there to help support the teacher in whichever classroom I was in.
