In an expansive data science landscape, my skills as a full-stack data scientist and people leader directly contribute to deliver products emphasizing cross functional collaboration. From data engineering, through machine learning and statistical analysis, into AWS infrastructure, I craft products for business results. Implementing modern robust development patterns, I have brought value using data pipelines, feature stores, MLOps, restful APIs, NLP, generative AI, machine learning/deep learning, A/B/n testing, and real time model monitoring. All tools chosen at the right time in a maturing environment that improved production processes in collaboration with my business partners. Hailing from a strong research academic background, I methodically probe a problem to unpack and understand before launching development. True understanding brings informed choices which in turn brings useful products rather than technically complex projects that are of little business use. With a strong record of challenging assumptions, clarifying deliverables and setting priorities, I bring of green field ideas to realization. I emphasize cross functional teams for implementation to ensure robustness and depth of knowledge. With eight years of experience and a strong research background, I design to best-in-class data science products and then challenge my teams to reach this level.
