As BI Program Leader for GE Distributed Power I was responsible for the interaction of all BI or Data & Analytics projects within GE DP. In that role I had to lead and coordinate a global distributed team (Austria, USA, Mexico, Hungary, India, China) of about 50 IT professionals and the same number of business stakeholders and drive them towards the fulfillment of highly ambitious project goals.The overall objective was to build up a state-of-the-art BI/D&A environment that serves all different requirements from business partners from simple reporting requirements and capabilities for self-service reporting for our business, to complex analytics based on data orginated from different sources or real-time reporting for shop floors.As the leader for this program I was responsible for quality, budget, on-time delivery and the overall coordinator of all projects in that field. Furthermore, I served as the project lead for the central project to build-up the DP's new BI environment and migrate all existing reporting solutions over.

Intense collaboration & partnership with business to ensure alignment, progress & strategic thinking on global design for Engineering ERP and PLM implementation project.I drove completing great achievements in Engineering Global Design to position Engineering area - esp. related to Item Management and Compliance Management topics - for future success. To be successful, global collaboration was a must and very intensive - remote as well as in person. To agree on business requirements and global designs, different workouts had to be fully organized (preparation, material, schedule, logistics,.. ) with clear objectives.Accomplished to get a financial planning tool security certified and managed to change user log-on procedure to further strengthen security while leaning the log-on process for global. Extended the practical global usage of the tool by moving parts of it into the cloud. Led and managed the IT support of the planning tool and thereby supported critical Planning phases as well as financial period closings.

As an Engineering ERP Solution Architect demonstrated strong techno-functional expertise in different projects. A strong focus was to consult business partners to use of Oracle EBS OOTB functionality to drive simplification and raise benefits of using the system.Strongly supported process excellence in Engineering by implementing a redesigned prototyping process. Focused on using OOTB to prepare processes for global design. I enhanced item activation process to support Prototyping processes as well as to increase the stability and performance. From an IT perspective I lead Engineering Quality initiatives and closed process gaps by combining Oracle EBS and reporting initiatives to provide a comprehensive solution for Sourcing/Engineering requirements related to purchasing NPI and serial parts.Supported PLM initiatives across DP including to enable ERP side processes for Supplier Collaboration as well as managing ERP side activities in Engineering to drive forth a seamless integration between pillar platforms Enovia PLM and Oracle ERP. Thereby, I led ERP side design activities and support collaboration between PLM and ERP teams. I contributed to cross-business process and system harmonization activities as Engineering IT lead for DP and supported DP Engineering during process harmonization design phase. In that role, I served as Lead-SA in Engineering area during ERP Global Design, I coordinated a team of 3-10 globally distributed consultants. Guaranteed SA team alignment on every angel of the Engineering strategy to ensure focusing on a holistic strategy considering up- and downstream systems and processes. Provided clear operational guidelines and approaches to reach goals in time and quality. Lead the team through uncertain times and ensured that the SA team stays focused on delivering what matters to business.

As ERP Coordinator I managed stabilization and productivity topics while focusing on simplification and usage of Oracle EBS out of the box. I was responsible to increase the ERP system and process stability in Engineering functional area. From an ERP perspective this included Engineering related modules of Oracle EBS (ENG, BOM, CZ, INV) as well as interfaces to up- and downstream systems for Engineering data.- Coordination of Engineering ERP support- Collaboration with global shared teams- Management of operational issue resolution in a complex environment- Set up a proactive troubleshooting approach by closely co-operating with business- Communication to business stakeholders and key usersI was serving as an IT Leader for the creation of the new product program (costing, configurations, price list) for the forthcoming year from 2011 till 2013 – a complex, critical and time consuming process which requires close cross-functional collaboration. During that time I was able to simplify the process by doing various IT enhancements to increase the quality and decrease manual efforts (time and labor).As I was growing my Oracle EBS expertise in the Engineering area, I served as functional consultant / solution architect and thereby implemented several functionalities to fill critical gaps in OOTB functionality.Apart from the Oracle EBS topics, Reporting/BI for Engineering area was also a hot topic. In that context I got familiarized with different reporting tools and strategies, especially iQ4BIS BI platform. Having the technical skill set, I was able to support business initiatives for reporting directly by implementing reports myself and providing technical support to BI team (esp. on Oracle EBS related topics). However, as IT Owner for Engineering BI my responsibility was to make sure the business function and the IT BI team are aligned on any open issues/bugs impacting production as well as current and future projects to extend the usage/benefits from BI.

Responsible for specific customer projects, I created Statement-Of-Works for implementations and did the project management for a small team while still being engaged as a technical consultant / developer in the project as well. The projects were driven in an agile style based on SCRUM.During that time I was working a lot in the reporting space for Bills of Materials, extending a reporting tool and tailoring it to customer specific requirements. For a technical point of view this involved programming in C and Java as well as XML data transformation with XSLT.Development of TeamCenter Enterprise server components (C, unix) and Web Application (Java, Javascript, XML) customization for a broad range of industries (e.g. building technologies, aero).
