I choose economic… Show more It was a privilege and pleasure for me that I was sent for training in State Bank of Pakistan, where I had the opportunity to be the part of its research department (which is known for its outstanding research), Monetary Policy Department and Economic Policy Review Department. The research department is divided into four divisions’ i.e. Econometric Modelling division, Economic Modeling division, Applied Economics division, and the International Economics division. I choose economic modeling division which particularly works on Forecasting and Policy Analysis System (FPAS model). Along with theoretical modeling discussion, we also had the opportunity to have a basic introduction to MTLAB, Dynare, and IRIS. In Monetary Policy Department I had the opportunity to learn the interlinkage between different sectors (trade, inflation, debt, credit, real sector, BoP) of the economy and how that affect each other. Additionally, analysis and forecasting or each sector was part of the training. Lastly, the Economic review department helped in developing report writing skills. Show less
