After more than 20 years of experience in pre-development and series development of exhaust aftertreatment systems and combustion engines, I've moved to fusion research at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP). The group I'm leading is responsible for the technology development of neutral beam injection systems for fusion reactors.I also work as a consultant on the following topics:- Development of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (SCR, DPF, SDPF, NO- oxidation, HC- oxidation, methane oxidation, nitrous oxide decomposition, ammonia oxidation)- Development of Power-to-X and CCU systems- Development of software functions for the control of complete plants and individual components (engines, generators, energy storage, exhaust gas aftertreatment systems)- Design, installation and operation of test rigs and laboratories for catalytic converter, fuel cell or hydrolysis cell development- Establishing technology partnerships- Risk assessments- Assessment regarding defects of exhaust gas aftertreatment components- Patent evaluation and patent monitoring- Support in the acquisition of research projects- Internal and external, especially funded, projects can be accompanied.// Commercialisation of patentsIn the course of my work, I have been involved as inventor in more than 180 patent families with over 400 individual patents.I hold the rights to about 20% of these patents.
