Monetary & Macroeconomics Policy Analyst
CurrentBank Indonesia is the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia, responsible for formulating and implementing monetary policy, maintaining exchange rate stability, and ensuring the stability of the financial system in Indonesia.In my role as a Monetary & Macroeconomics Policy Analyst Intern within the Inflation Group, I focus on detailed analysis and modeling of inflation dynamics in Indonesia. This involves examining the three main inflation categories—Volatile Food (VF), Core, and Administered Prices (AF)—with a primary emphasis on VF inflation and a secondary focus on Core inflation.My responsibilities include:Inflation Analysis & Modeling: Analyze Volatile Food (VF) and Core inflation, focusing on price fluctuations in VF. Develop a Demand Pull Inflation Model using the Composite Leading Indicator (CLI) method to assess demand-side factors and forecast trends.Consumer Behavior Analysis: Study shifts in consumer spending, particularly in response to economic pressures, to identify trends in price sensitivity and demand for VF products, informing inflation projections and policy responses.Reporting & Policy Support: Prepare reports on inflation trends and consumer behavior shifts, collaborating with the policy team to provide insights for data-driven, effective policy decisions.
