CurrentTo enable the Government of Jamaica, through a US$15 million World Bank Project that is being executed over a 5 year period : from January 2018 to January 2023(Extension January 2024), with the objective of improving access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under four components:Component 1: Enhancing the CEF for guarantees to MSME loansComponent 2: Supporting an SME Fund for risk capital financing to SMEsComponent 3: Improving the enabling environment for access to finance and business development services for MSMEs Component 4: Project managementIn addition , The BIGEE project through US$25M Inter-American Development Bank project that will be executed over 5 years from Sept 2020 to March 2025, with the objective of to promoting sustainable and robust growth among startups and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jamaica.The components are:Component I – Innovation and Growth for Established MSMEs Component II – Facilitating Innovation and Growth for Scalable Startups Component III - Facilitating Innovation and Growth for High Potential Startups Component IV – Project Management Responsibilities include the execution and finalization of procurement activities under components 1-4 . Thereby meeting the Project objectives to increase access to finance for MSMEs ; Boosting Innovation, Growth and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem (BIGEE) in Jamaica . The procurement will include acquiring resources within a specify time using World Bank (WB) , Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Government of Jamaica (GOJ) Procurement Regulations , according to budget using recommended Selection Method that is communicated /negotiated with firms/ individuals in order to deliver products and services according to plan.
