For the Ministry of General Affairs and all other Dutch ministries I monitor and manage all used applications (amongst others Bloomreach) on around 600 servers hosted in a Java environment operated by Linux. For the CI/CD pipeline to deploy and integrate newly built Java application updates and upgrades we use Docker/Kubernetes. For performance monitoring, version control, security logging and visualization of logs we use the ELK stack, SonarQube, Git, Jenkins and Harbor. With Confluence and Jira we administer all technical tickets and DevOps tasks.Starting in mid 2023, we are transitioning from an on-premise hosting provider to the Cloud, migrating over 600 websites currently managed on-premise. Our Cloud provider is Standaard Platform (Logius), and we are building a new platform based on Kubernetes/OpenShift. We utilize GitLab/Harbor and SonarQube for CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and code testing. For monitoring and alerting, we rely on Elastic Cloud, Kibana, and Grafana/Prometheus. To enhance web performance, security, and availability, we use Akamai and Terraform. We use ArgoCD as our GitOps continuous delivery tool that automates application deployment and lifecycle management.

In the biggest COVID-19-laboratorium in the Netherlands I work at the department Extraction and PCR. Mixing of PCR-liquids, processing of COVID-19-PCR deepwell plates in the MGISP-960 (pipetting robot) and creating necessary mixes for the extraction process in the Allsheng machines are my responsibilities. As a trainer I teach new colleagues pipetting PCR-mixes and to learn operate the MGISP-960 pipetting robot. The final product we deliver is a positive or negative COVID-19-PCR test to the Dutch health organization GGD.

Becoming a Certified Java Developer feels like coming home. Because I always kept a passion for IT and have a hungry brain that always needs to be challenged. The curriculum is finished in June 2021 with 2 exams: DevOps Foundation (passed with a score of 80%) and Oracle Java Foundations (passed with a score of 84%). I would love to start my second youth in the IT sector in an innovative company!

In September 2012 I started my own business as an Independent Representative in the Telecom and Energy industry. In this role I intermediate for clients that switch from Energy/Telecom provider, do the relationship management for the client in the transition process and am the technical and commercial consultant for their Energy/Telecom services.

Monitoring receivables for all Projects and measure and monitor Customer Satisfaction. Customer Care Manager for all Global Accounts of Damovo Mexico. As a Program Manager I managed the telephony network roll out for FIRA Banco de Mexico (109 locations throughout Mexico).

Operations Manager for Damovo Benelux. As an Operations Manager I managed operational issues for customers in the Benelux and have been an escalation channel in case of emergency. In this role political maneuvering is important in certain cases.

Manage implementation of total solutions for customers in the domains of Data, Mobility, Voice as well as IP Video Surveillance in the Benelux. Liaising with and managing 3rd party service providers. Manage roll out of the IP telephony network for Sappi Europe in 15 European countries.

Design and manage implementation of Digital Signage projects for BIS customers. Acquisition of new and existing customers and presenting Digital Signage solutions for these customers. Translating the business communication processes of the customer into a Digital Signage solution, including the software development part to connect the databases of the customer to this solution.

As a business owner I worked as a trainer, sales consultant and market researcher. I am licensed to give training in Avatar, a personal development and awareness program. I combined this work as Avatar trainer, being an independent representative in the telecommunications market. I intermediated for Dutch and Belgian clients who were changing from telecommunications provider. Market research I did in the fields of retail, automobile industry, telecommunications and governmental organizations.

During this period I worked as a Project Manager for the following companies: SVIANED, KPN, Houthoff Buruma, Versatel, UWV, PWN, Hydron Midden Nederland, Deelgemeente Hoogvliet and Wagner & Partners. Track record projects: Euro conversion (hard- and software), Implementation of IT infrastructures, software & inter/intranet, Migration of IT infrastructures, moves of IT infrastructures and renumbering of TCP/IP networks, Nationwide network upgrades (ATM), rollout Telecommunication platforms.

As a Consultant/Systems Manager and Project Manager I was working for the following companies: Vopak, Royal Dutch Shell and DSM (Gist-Brocades at that time). During this period I also gave MCSE trainings for IT professionals from Brunel. Track record: Systems support/maintenance & troubleshooting on AS/400, Unix and Windows environments, IT consultancy for migrations Lotus Notes/Windows NT and design of IT infrastructures. Projectmanagement Lotus Notes/Windows NT migrations and IT infrastructure projects for different plants Gist-Brocades in the Netherlands and abroad (Canada, France, Poland and Belgium).
