I am working as a Software Engineer at Natzka SA, where I colaborate with the engine team. We are rethinking the data warehouse in coming up with innovative solutions.I did my academic formation in Physics, including a PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. have 6 years of experience in Research in Physics, specializing in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion. Theoretical research has allowed me to develop excellent analytical, modeling and problem solving skills.My work in research has also given me advanced scientific computation skills, including parallel computing and experience in different languages and platforms. In my PhD I developed and implemented a model to perform numerical simulations of multi-species plasmas, considering the interaction with neutral particles, exploiting the applications of this model. I also worked as a teaching assistant in Numerical Physics in my PhD and supervised two projects of Master level students. Before that, I had tutored individual students in scientific subjects.I speak Portuguese as native tongue and aí am fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish. I have developed strong communication and scientific writing skills through my Masters and PhD, as well as cooperation skills when working with fellow researchers. I also have leadership experience as a beach soccer coach (2011-2016), including a Portuguese National Division title with CD Nacional in 2016, and also participations in the Portuguese National Championship with CF Benfica (2013-2014) and SL Olivais (2012). I also worked as a beach soccer commentator at Eurosport (2011-2015), commentating more than 70 international matches. Since 2016, I am also an author for the sports opinion website Fair Play.I am passionate for exploring nature and travelling, specially by bike. I love cycling across the mountains and I always feel motivated to test my resilience with new challenges, for example Chasing Cancellara Zurich-Zermatt.Apart from that, I am interested in other scientific fields, environmentalism, geography, hiking, reading, writing and celtic music.
