I'm a Portuguese Geologist with a degree in Environmental Engineering currently living in Sofia, Bulgaria.My areas of expertise are Geosciences (Petroleum Geology MSc) and Environmental Engineering (MSc). I also have a higher degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Recently, after completing my Masters, (2016/17) I've worked for a tungsten-tin-copper mining company in Portugal as an environmental health and safety engineer. In 2017/8 taught English & Portuguese as a foreign language in Jakarta, Indonesia. The last 4 years I've been working at Concentrix first as a technical support specialist and the last 3 years as a Team Leader Operations.I'm fluent in Portuguese, English, have good knowledge of French, basic Bahasa Indonesia and studied Chinese Mandarin while doing my Masters in the University of Coimbra.I'm still part of the Fossil Energy and Sustainable Development Cluster of the Geosciences Centre in that university, taking active part in scientific papers related to the Atlantic margins exploration, salt tectonics and micropaleontology.In this Centre I learned how to interpret seismic, well data and assess a play/prospect with real data using some modelling software like Petrel and Petromod. While finishing my Masters I took part in some international events related to the oil & gas business, like the Prague (AAPG-Imperial Barrel Award) as the Portuguese team leader, in Vienna (EGU), among other participations in national scientific events. I also acted as a guide for the Science Museum at the University while doing my studies.Recently I've been studying about Native Hydrogen and its potential as a georesource and also about Carbon Capture and Storage. I might pursue a PhD in these thematics.My biggest strength (and also my weakness) is to have a broad knowledge (besides earth sciences, I enjoy and can be very good at Astronomy, Biology, History, Philosophy, Computer Science, Economics, Languages).I enjoy outdoor activities like Hiking, Snowboarding, Cycling, practicing sports like Tennis, Football and playing strategy games either video games or board games.Feel free to contact me regarding any projects we can work on related to Geosciences, where work and hobby blend together.
