As a Groundwater Data Analyst, I integrated and managed spatial datasets through the use of tools such as ArcGIS Pro, SQL, and R. My work contributed to furthering the use of spatial data in hydrological research. In my work, I georeferenced over 5,000 images to shapefiles to map global aquifer systems in ArcGIS Pro. In addition to my georeferencing work, I transcribed over 10,000 bore logs for the states of Nevada and Wisconsin. This work helped in understanding how lithology may determine the water quality of local wells.

My collaboration with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was pivotal in preparing samples for sulfur-35 analysis. Furthermore, I was responsible for overseeing the purchase and maintenance of lab and field equipment through the UCSB system.

I conducted a thorough analysis of USGS water-use data from 1950 to 2015, using R to organize large freshwater datasets into specific demand sectors. This allowed for a clear overview of water consumption trends. Additionally, I created high-level data visualizations to show water demand and supply trends in California, supporting discussions on sustainable water practices under the SGMA framework. My analysis also included studying the socio-economic implications of over-drafted basins under SGMA. Moreover, I used big data to develop an interactive map of the US with Leaflet, detailing water withdrawals in each state by demand sectors.
