Enthusiastic successful teaching professional who is experienced in all levels of high school mathematics. Talent for making the most difficult problems seem rudimentary. In eight years of teaching, I have experience using various types of technology in the classroom. Technology like SmartBoard, Smart Learning Suite, Smart Notebook, Microsoft teams, Microsoft forms, Edulastic, Quizizz, Khan Academy, School City, etc. Every year I have been effective or highly effective, the two highest ratings a teacher can achieve. For six years of my teaching career, I was the head coach of the girls’ soccer team. Being head coach, I learned to recruit coaching staff, motivate a team to work toward a common goal, change a team attitude, schedule a season of games and transportation, buy equipment, successfully fundraise, manage a cash account and keep a team in a positive mindset after difficult setbacks. Recently, I achieved my real estate license and work with eXp Realty part time. Being a real estate agent has taught me the importance of customer service, account management, marketing, networking and other valuable things. During my college career I was a sports writer and assistant manager for a Hispanic newspaper and the chief of visual design for a collegiate newspaper. Most of all, all of my success has been in spite of being a disabled quadriplegic. I’ve never used my disability as an excuse and hate that I even have to mention it. But, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that my disability has helped me generate creative solutions and approaches to my work.
