About Andre Frey
For over 30 years I generate designs and solutions for vehicles and products of all kind.I am an Industrial Designer specializing in product design and previously, transportation design.My design education started at ArtCenter Europe, but I graduated at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1994.My current position is Creative Director at Watkins Wellness in Vista, California USA. Watkins Wellness is the world’s leading manufacturer of Hot Tubs, Exercise Swim Pools and Saunas.In my role as Creative Director, I manage a team of Senior Designers in our brand new, dedicated design studio. I’am responsible for the product aesthetics, ergonomics, brand differentiation and future vision of several Internal brands and products we build for external clients. These products are sold through our own international dealer network as well as clients such as Costco, Home Depot, SCP and Wayfair just to name a few.I truly enjoy working in the Wellness sector, as I feel good about working on products that improve peoples health and wellbeing.My previous work-body includes production cars ranging from Smart, Mercedes and Maybach. I worked on both, interior and exterior projects. Everything from complete designs, details and facelifts, to show-cars and future production cars. It's all part of my repertoire.The design experience and professional network I built up over the decades, has taught me a lot about product development, which I now implement on all Design projects and in the way I manage my design team at Watkins Wellness.
