For my entire life, I have been driven by curiosity to explore the world around me. From reconstructing complex algorithms to deciphering the mechanics of a new ski move, I am most alive when immersed in questioning and discovery. This inquisitive nature fuels my excitement for software engineering, as it allows me to engage in these explorations daily.With over 4 years of experience, I have expertise in diverse areas. My background includes extensive backend Python development for data-intensive applications, managing and collaborating on NLP model Pipelines, designing and implementing microservice web apps, curating large GeoSpatial datasets, and developing object detection models. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am committed to two causes close to my heart: ecosystem regeneration and mental health awareness. In my previous life as a professional slopestyle skier representing Costa Rica in the FIS Freestyle World Cup Tour, I developed a profound appreciation for the natural world. Now, I channel this passion into environmental conservation efforts, regularly volunteering with TreeUtah to plant trees across the state.I am also an advocate for OCD and mental health awareness. I openly share my own experiences online and in person to destigmatize discussions surrounding mental health and offer hope to those facing challenges. As part of this mission, I have founded ReSpirit Wellness, where I teach individuals and athletes breathwork and resilience tools, helping them thrive amidst adversity.
