Global

Responsible for the delivery of business concepts for capital investments in the global MSD Animal Health network. These concepts must fit in the long term business marketing, sales and produktion strategy of MSD and integrate required functionality at acceptable cost in the existing network. Business case development starts with the business constraint (increased demand, changed SHE requirements, regulatory changes, market opportunities etc) and need to deliver options to mitigate the constraint or take the opportunity. This role requires flexibility, leadership, networking across the organisation, working with, and leading teams of different cultures and creativity.

Global

Overall (end) responsibility for multi-discipline conceptual design of farmaceutical production plants (capital projects) up to $150MM per project. Managing a global team of internal MSD discipline leads (process, equipment, architecture, civil, HVAC, electrical and automation) and external engineering partners to deliver a conceptual design package including estimate and schedule suitable to serve as a decision milestone for upper management and as a starting point for the basic design and execution. Projects covered the entire MSD animal health and occasionally human health network. Recent examples are:- Responible for conceptual design of a new green field pharmaceutical production plant in France.- Support business cases for pharmaceutical investment projects globally.- Responsible for concept design a biological blend & fill factory in Austria.- Responsible for the concept design of a bacteriological fermentation factory in Austria. - Support of localization projects for the entire (animal health/ human health) MSD network globally (recently in the Russian Federation and Turkey).

Boxmeer

Responsibilities: - Managing (sterile) filling, packaging and containment projects in the production of pharmaceutical products for animal health. - Subject Matter Expert (SME) for containment and (sterile) filling equipmentAchievements: - Specification, purchasing, commissioning and qualification of a complex and dedicated tube filler and sachetting line for a new pharmaceutical product for production in the US. - Specification and purchase of a blending isolator for pharmaceutical production in Germany.- Managing URS generation, supplier management, design kwalifications, commissioning and qualification, installation of: - Sterile syringe filler - Weigh and Dispense area- Lead the definition, procurement, follow up, commissioning and qualification of a sterile ampoule filling line, including washing and sterilizing of the ampoules. Part of the project is the development of a new filling system for a suspension product.- Managing the definition of a quick and short term solution to balance production capacity with the fast growing demand of one of MSD Animal Health's premium products. The project was executed at the Vienna MSD site in cooperation with local and global experts. Part of the project was OEE increase of the existing production (packaging facility).Skills: Subject matter expert for containment equipment and primary and secondary packaging (filling) equipment, experience in working with cross-functional and global project teams, problem solving and project management.

Boxmeer

Responsibilities: - Development, maintenance and support of engineering supporting IT systems.- Chairman for the European and US maintenance network AH.Achievements: - Development of eye-document, a document management system for organizing the document flow in projects and maintenance.- Development and implementation of a sharepoint site for the global animal health engineering and maintenance organization- Development and implementation of project prioritization system- Development and implementation of project and time registration system called Ghapa (global animal health project administration)- Set up of international (US and EU) animal health maintenance network.Skills: Project management, problem solving, creative, document management.

Boxmeer

Responsibilities: - Managing the animal health building and installation engineering group at Intervet Boxmeer.- Project manager for the civil, HVAC and clean room facilities for the major extension of a freeze drying facility in Boxmeer.Achievements: - Project management for the design and construction of the building and cleanrooms including the required HVAC installations in time and budget for the new freeze drying facility. - Conceptual study including a risk analysis for a sprinkler system on the Boxmeer site.- Design and construction of a hydrogen peroxide disinfection installation for a vaccine plant.Skills: SME clean room technology; project management, leadership, construction management.
