My military occupational special is an AAV crewmen. My occupation requires operation, maintenance and employment of the weapons system on the AAV. As an NCO (non commissioned officer) it is my responsibility to lead, train and manage the marines appointed under my care. I’ve had up to 12 Marines in my care during my time as an Infantry squad leader. I’ve mastered 6 different weapons: M16 Rifle, M4 Rifle, M240B light machine gun, M2 Browning .50 machine gun, MK19 40mm machine gun, and the M9 beretta pistol. I am also trained in OC (pepper) spray. I have had 2 years of experience leading marines and am extremely confident in my leadership skills and presence.
