Drilling engineer involved with engineering work on Hod Re-Development and Valhall Well Re-Design, working on drilling, integrity and well design prior to PDO.The engineering work on HRD included all drilling engineering work prior to delivery of PDO, from Appraise throughout Define (DG1 – DG3), while my work on VWRD included reviewing new casing design, time and cost and new technology development and implementation on the mature field, Valhall, from Appraise throughout Execution (DG1 – DG4).Work related to Valhall Well Re-Design involved designing new well design that delivered wells at Valhall in a safer, more efficient and compliant way. This work includes new casing design (hydraulics and torque & drag simulations in Wellplan and Stresscheck), mud and cement design (workshop and studies), new technology, where MPD and drill-in liner system where the two major outputs from the project, enablers (right scoping and contracts), well integrity and time and cost analysis. Involved on several technical well and drilling engineering studies, off work time. Several cap and contain studies for a client in NCS, P&A studies for two clients in NCS and time and cost estimation for a service company.

Part of a Total Well Management Team working for Lundin Norway, Johan Sverdrup with Transocean Arctic. Involved working on appraisal well drilling program, casing design, mud and cement design, time and cost estimate, Application for Consent, discharge permit, bit and BHA selection, risk analysis. Involvement in pre-planning, design and execution phase.

Held several positions, including integrity engineer, drilling engineer, offshore drilling engineer and lead P&A engineer. Prepared well barrier schematics, drilling and P&A programs, contingency plans, equipment specifications, detailed offshore operation programs, assisting the offshore company supervisor and summarizing all operations in after action- and final reports. Part of the team drilling and completing the first subsea wells with dry wellheads in ConocoPhillips Norway. 8 injectors drilled with jack up rig, Maersk Innovator, delivered and put on injection 1 year ahead of target. Also a part of the first P&A campaign team (in newer history) on Ekofisk. 8 wells permanently plugged and abandoned. Two greatest milestones reached during the P&A campaign were cutting and pulling more than 10.000ft of 7” casing (from the late 70’s) in one run and 300% increase in ROP during casing milling by introducing Harmonic Isolation Tool. Responsible for a small engineering team for delivery of highly challenging P&A wells, accountable for all permanent plug and abandonment operations for the slot recovery program which involved planning and execution of all offline activities, well diagnostics, P&A program, AFE estimation and verifications and designing governing documents.
