• Added functional enhancements to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) systems used to monitor the performance of customer service agents at various disaster locations throughout the United States. • Met with the business units to elicit system requirements and agree on the scope of work for each release.• Designed applications according to the client’s architectural guidelines and delivered system changes to the production environment.• Wrote code based on the client’s technical architecture which consisted of Struts 1.2 for the presentation layer, POJO’s in the middle-tier, and a persistence layer implemented with JDBC/iBATIS/PL/SQL stored procedures. The application was built using ANT and was deployed to Apache Tomcat with Oracle on the back-end. Version control was accomplished with an Open Source distributed VCS called Bazaar.

• Completed the University Systems Technology (UST) training program. • Developed Fannie Mae Auction System Technology (FAST), a web based application used to issue discount notes, buy back outstanding debt, and enter repurchase agreements.• Added functional enhancements to Benchmark Automated Syndication System (BASS), a web based application used to manage Fannie Mae's global issuance calendar.• Technical lead for the implementation of a straight through processing (STP) solution for discount notes. Leveraged the Financial Information Exchange (FIX 4.4) protocol to provide dealers with offerings and trade executions. Worked with the FIX community to create user defined fields (tags 9171 - 9186) to provide dealers with relevant information (https://www.fixtrading.org/standards/user-defined-fields/).
