Throughout the last decade I've obtained various employments education experiences and hands on trainings as well as become a member of the Local 1076 Laborers Union. Though I've received multiple certifications ranging from Pre-Apprenticeship in Building and Apartment Maintenance and Facilities to Demolition and Lead Abatement I've also operated construction machinery as well as contributed knowledge and skills to the setup and operational day to day assignments of Journeyman in various skilled trades. I'm interested in a career/ employment that has stability, consistency, longevity, and room for advancement as well. Due to socioeconomic status of our city Flint, Michigan has had inconsistencies in employment within the Construction Industry which has enabled me to venture other opportunities but hindered my opportunity of longevity and foundation. Even though I've participated in projects such as the Green-zone Construction Revitalization Project which involved revitalizing urban communities enabling the properties to house those less fortunate and low-income citizens as well. Furthermore, my participation/employment in the Oak Park Center Project which was a sustainable collaboration re -development of an Historically Monumental Center that was rebirth into housing urban development. Also my most recent achievement of successful Completion of Apprenticeship Readiness Program offered by the Department of Labor in collaboration with the Center For Construction Research and Training, GSTMIWorks, and the Skilled Trades Unions; obtaining a CDL Class A Permit extended my knowledge of the construction field. I'd like to think there's a plan economically for our city throughout the state as well based on the fact that this all ties into Gross Domestic Product as a whole.
