I am the Chief Executive and ideological leader of Dandelions & Friends, a Ukrainian social movement focused on improving the lives of seniors. Our mission is to help elderly people live a full life, not just survive. This movement is a social response to the poverty in which millions of senior Ukrainians have to survive. The minimum monthly pension payment is only $57, while at least 4 million people are living on just $75. This sum of money is insufficient to cover basic living expenses. To pretend that it's all right or to be silent is equal to a crime.That's why, Dandelions & Friends is focused on supporting elderly Ukrainians with basic human needs like food and personal care products. Also, we help with medicines and medical supplies, hairdressing service and clothing.
