Daymark is a private philanthropic foundation whose mission is to transform mental health in Canada, with women’s mental health and bipolar disorder as our two priority areas.

My portfolio included serving as:(1) Program Manager for 'Well at Work 2.0' – a set of four projects to support professional development, capacity-building, and stakeholder alignment among school district leaders and education stakeholder groups in developing and implementing individual, organizational, and systemic strategies to improve K-12 workplace wellbeing. One of these projects includes developing a social enterprise arm of the organization. (2) Project Manager for 'Well at Work' (www.k12wellatwork.ca) – a large-scale research and public awareness campaign to spark greater investments into workplace wellbeing in K-12 public education (www.edcan.ca/wellatwork). (3) Project Manager for the Pan-Canadian Summit on K-12 Workplace Wellbeing (www.edcansummit.ca), including the K-12 Workplace Wellbeing Webinar SeriesMy mission was for evidence to lead to concrete action in ways that lead to policy and practice evolutions in the Canadian K-12 education sector. My specialty is designing and leading teams, projects and programs of all sizes and varieties – especially for systems change-focused initiatives – and aligning projects and programs to the advancement of the organization’s strategic priorities. Accordingly, I built relationships and partnerships with educators, school and district leaders, researchers, policymakers, education ministries, faculties of education, service providers, and stakeholder groups – in the areas of content development, professional learning programming, service provision, and fundraising.

• Surveyed and conducted select interviews among Ashoka's 490 social innovators in Africa in order to understand gaps and challenges in scaling their social innovations • Provided recommendations for scaling these social innovation programs in line with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals

• Collaborate to produce a "local content" guide for the French Council of Investors in Africa, which represents 75% of French economic activity in the African continent • Inform French corporations with operations in Africa of the emerging notion of local content, and encourage its integration within business activities • Conduct research and prepare reports on pre-existing international norms • Design and lead interviews with member companies to determine best practices • Generate and present regular progress reports to determine areas of improvement

• Elected to serve as a liaison between 19’000 secondary students across 15 schools and school board administration, including the Director of Education, superintendents, and regionally elected trustees• Advocated for reform to the school board’s Inclusive Education Policy regarding bullying, safe schools and Aboriginal education• Prepared and communicated the “Student Trustees’ Report” at monthly Board of Education meetings to outline student initiatives, ideas, and concerns• Executed four conferences for student leadership development • Implemented Open Forum discussions so that student ideas and concerns could be raised, discussed, and co-constructed towards a common vision

• Represented the views of students of Ontario’s publicly funded education system to the Ministry of Education and other educational stakeholders • Planned three professional development conferences in Toronto and Ottawa • Served as the recording officer at conferences and at Executive Council meetings• Maintained and updated contact information and mailing lists • Created the Executive Council Highlights: a mid-year report to update the General Assembly of current initiatives in progress and future plans of the Executive Council

• Prepared and advanced a project proposal to establish a referral activity to assist the Canadian visa post in Damascus, Syria and in Accra, Ghana, which would ease strain on the Canadian immigration system• Analyzed and summarized refugee case files• Presented the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program at Public Information Workshops
