Andre Roux is the founding partner of Ethos Private Equity having established the business in 1984 and is widely regarded as a pioneer of the South African Private Equity industry. He held the position of Chief Executive since Ethos's inception until stepping down in 2014 and assuming the role of Deputy Chairman.He has served on the Board of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association based in Washington DC and is currently Chair of the Africa Council within the Association.Andre is also a Non Executive Director of Omba Advisory & Investments Ltd, a London based specialist Asset Manager focusing on Family Office and High Net Worth clients utilising Exchange Traded Funds and state of the art technology to invest client funds in global portfolios at low cost.He also serves on the Advisory Board of Inspired Evolution, a specialist Investment Advisory business dedicated to clean energy and energy resource efficiency growth investments in Sub Saharan Africa.Further Andre is Chairman of Sanari Capital, a woman led and majority black owned private equity firm focused on business' that are sustainable, scaleable and saleable and where technology and digital strategies can play a key role in future growth and value creation.Andre graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also participated in the Senior Executive Programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
