For some people the merchandising industry is boring. For me, it’s vocation.I‘m fascinated how content creators create characters, stories and artworks. Contributing to building and supporting a brand through the development of related licensed products fills me with nothing less than pride.Ever since I was out of school, I had the aspiration to launch my first business in the pop-culture industry. And I did right away. I have always been working in my own or others’ pop-culture distribution & retail businesses. My journey through pop-culture land took me to owning several comic shops and working in manufacturing as well as inbound and outbound licensing, dealing with media and merchandise licenses. I guess you can say I’ve seen all sides of the industry. And yet, I know there is still so much to learn, so many people to meet and work with. I care. About people, about the planet. I see partners where others see competition.Besides my work path in the world of pop-culture, I’ve also been heavily engaged in another quest since that day the C64 came out: gaming. I’m a big fan of story driven RPGs in Science Fiction or Fantasy settings. I’m also a decent Trekkie. Picard for President please. Or at least me for captain of starship carrying the best of humanity. Or of the Orville, carrying the rest.
