Civilian trained medical professionals receive additional military medical courses and training and combattants receive specifically developed military medical courses and training to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed for the military medical system and operational circumstances. The DGOTC has for this purpose regular medical education facilities but also a simulation environment where different operational scenarios and circumstances can be trained.
