As a purchasing agent it's important to establish good relationships with vendors. This helps insure timely placed and received orders, special corporate discounts, and can help save your organization thousands of dollars. At GPHA I was responsible for ordering office supplies, medical equipment, office furniture, and vaccinations for the 12 different medical offices within the organization. In some cases I would also deliver these items to the sites after they were thoroughly received and accounted for. I kept a paper trial from the origin of the purchase order, down the packing slip stating the contents of each box delivered. I kept an electronic and hard copy record of every purchase, every item received, and to each location those items went. I was able to save GPHA thousands of dollars per year, by selecting vendors with competitive pricing. I was also responsible for sorting and distributing USPS and interoffice mail throughout the entire organization.

From creation to destruction, I am responsible for tracking & archiving all paper work that flows through the chemistry department. While this postion may sounds tedious, it's actually very difficult for most companies to do. My goal is to create a records management department for ESI. Acheiving this goal will promote better organization within the company and will increase revenue, by limiting the use of paper and time wasted on printing, faxing, and scanning.

Assisting over 1500 pharmacies throughout the United States with any problem they had with their software or P.O.S. system. Trouble shooting included billing inquiries, Drug/Drug interactions, Drug/allergy interactions, Drug/food interactions, and some times I had to dial into a clients system to manually resolve a software issue.
