The algorithm created was used in the selection process of the future auto part suppliers for the upcoming vehicles. It would automatically associate the underlying premises of the future production (input data to the model) to those premises used to forecast the estimated logistics costs incurred when deploying a particular supplier. This was previously done manually by selecting many different variables and was therefore very time consuming when many auto parts, vehicles, factories and potential suppliers were involved;2. Performed interdisciplinary work in order to get information from different sectors within the company that were needed to assess the logistics costs incurred when selecting a future supplier, as well as when an auto part went through significant change (size or number of variables, for example) so that it was necessary to calculate its impact on the logistics costs. Conducted research on the Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC), in order to gather, analyze and evaluate most of the big construction development projects in Brazil every quarter and check if it was following the proposed schedule and costs;2. Gathered transportation related infrastructure data from other countries (especially the USA due to its similar size and population) to make a comparison to the current Brazilian infrastructure and highlight deficiencies and forecast needs.
