Remote sensing scientist with expertise in lidar and UAS image processing, specifically generating topo-bathy surface models. I am passionate about data visualization and AI/machine learning, and interested in communicating complex ideas using intuitive visualizations. My research interests are varied, but are focused primarily on remote sensing, earth observation, and geospatial analysis -- previous research has focused on quantifying oxygen concentrations on the seafloor, characterizing breaking waves using lidar, creating nearshore bathymetric maps from a fusion of satellite platforms, developing open source image processing tools, analyzing trail camera data using CameraTrapDetectoR software, and most recently creating topobathy surface models of farm irrigation ponds. Remote sensing, geospatial analysis, bathymetry, geography, geoscience, earth science and observation, image processing, data science, machine learning, geostatistics, spatial interpolation, photogrammetry, multispectral and hyperspectral image analysis, high performance computing (HPC) environments, SLURM scripts, Open Drone Map, Microstation/Terrasolid, CloudCompare, ArcGIS Pro, ENVI, QGIS, VDatum, landscape ecology, regenerative agriculture, GIS, GPS, 3D spatial analysis, lidar (calibration, ground model editing, feature extraction, utilities modeling, error analysis, digital elevation models), and UAS-, aerial-, satellite-image analysis. I personally fundraised over $4000 and as part of a group of 33 riders over $100,000 – part of our mission to raise money and awareness for affordable housing. We volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together in eight different states along the way. I co-led the trip with the help of three other extraordinary leaders, and we were responsible for coordinating meals, overnight stays, volunteer experiences with affordable housing organizations. Everyone arrived safely and we all had the time of our lives. -
