In 2016, motivated by my children's health issues, I started a business selling gluten-free subscription boxes online. However, the COVID years presented unforeseen challenges. The scarcity of suppliers in our target market made it hard to secure inventory, and compromised transportation further compounded our difficulties. Ultimately, after just over one year, we made the difficult decision to stop trading. Despite the hardships, I gained invaluable lessons in adaptability, resilience, and proactive planning. Although the concept faced challenges during COVID, it laid a solid foundation for future ventures. Entering the gluten-free world through my children's illness gave me a sense of purpose, aiming to provide fun and tasty alternatives while supporting gluten-free businesses.

This marked the start of my online sales career, transitioning from a hobby to a business with my own consignment shop. Beginning as a self-employed individual, I eventually established a limited company, complete with a rented warehouse and a dedicated team. Although the business thrived, the escalating costs posed a significant challenge. In light of this, I made a strategic decision to shift back to a home-based work environment, seeking increased flexibility and the opportunity to spend more time with my children while they were still in primary school. This transition allowed for a more favorable work-life balance while minimising expenses. Reflecting on this important moment, I am grateful for the lessons learned in adaptability and the ability to align my business with my personal values.

Then I was promoted to human relations/sales supervisor and became responsible for representing the company’s philosophy in negotiations with new partnerships. With the goal of business expansion on conquering new partnerships, I was responsible for introducing the company's working model, recruiting and training new employees, giving support on the sales department, answering to the customers needs, identifying problems and sales opportunities.
