As a former researcher at the Fusion Department of ENEA, I have worked for over 20 years on high-temperature superconducting materials, gaining extensive experience across the entire value chain of coated conductors.This includes everything from the study of materials (buffer layers, superconducting films, introduction of artificial pinning defects) to the optimization of manufacturing processes (PLD, MOD, e-beam, sputtering), advanced characterizations of the entire structure (from XRD to fluxon dynamics), and the final applications of HTS tapes.Together with my colleagues at ENEA, I have founded Suprema to manufacture the best HTS tapes for applications ranging from nuclear fusion to a new, more efficient electrical grid, from large-scale electric mobility to the next generation of high energy physics experiments and innovative biomedical devices. Finally enabling the HTS SUPREMAcy.
