Leading the development and implementation of BMA's Quality Management System in alignment with standards from multiple industries. Within the first year, established BMA's AS9100-compliant QMS and achieved certification.

Responsible for all aspects of technical communications, from proposal response management, social media and marketing management, to customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsible for report preparation and submission of several state and federal government required data collections for a prek-12 public school district with 15,000 students. This work includes training employees on proper data entry and strict adherence to FERPA, auditing the student information system (Infinite Campus) to detect data errors, compiling data from Infinite Campus using SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Access and Excel and modifying it to meet state/federal reporting requirements. Also performing statistical analysis on educational data to find ways to better serve students through data-based decision making.

Work remotely for the Portland, OR based company as a Project Manager of a corporate strategic objective to develop and implement a statistical process control program (Process Variation Reduction) at the majority of manufacturing facilities. Oversee the efforts at 13 sites in five countries. Lead the development and implementation of process control standards, data collection/measurement techniques, control strategies, and data analysis. Develop and deploy training for operators, management and process control engineers. Lead high-level steering committee to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Accountable to executive sponsors for schedule and quality of all program elements. Conduct periodic status updates to all levels of the organization.

Working within a team to support the metallurgical processes of all 12 global ESCO sand casting foundries. This includes electric arc and induction melting, argon oxygen decarburization refining, as well as heat treatment of low alloy and manganese steels. Provide technical support for problem-solving efforts, as well as regular visits to the foundries for process audits. Develop and maintain the corporate manufacturing specifications for all metallurgical processes. Routinely develop destructive testing instructions for various metallurgical reviews. Hardness, toughness, chemistry, tensile strength, etc. analysis performed to understand foundry performance (quality evaluation). Fracture evaluation, SEM, macro-etching, and metallography also used for shop problem investigations and field failures. All testing is concluded with a full technical report provided to internal and external customers.

Challenged with various metallurgical and dimensional responsibilities in a titanium investment casting foundry. Lead engineer in production trouble-shooting and cost reduction projects. Successfully maintain and improve production processes in a high pressure, constantly evolving environment.Selected Contributions:~ Initiated and supported cost reduction efforts with customer that identified $1.3 million in yearly savings. Acted as lead engineer in data collection, presentation and negotiation with customer.~ Determined cause and solution to highest scrap product in plant. Implementation of this solution resulted in a scrap reduction of $340k/quarter and further cost reduction of $19k/quarter.~ Successful completion of several full metallurgical evaluations of titanium castings. Projects involved the definition of work content for destructive and non-destructive testing, analysis of testing results (i.e. tensile, elongation, reduction of area, and metallography), report writing and presentation to customer.~Selected to present technical paper that I co-authored, "The Effects of Foundry Parameters and UBS Shell Properties on Casting Dimensions" at the annual PCC Technical Conference (2011).

Quickly integrated into an engineering team responsible for all production Titanium castings. Implemented work instructions for process excursions. Identified cost-savings opportunities and proved results through successful trials. Various studies performed to understand costs incurred by product. Lead several dimensional tool rework initiatives.Selected Contributions:~ Lead engineer assigned to re-qualification of casting with new blueprint. Required prompt and effective interaction with various departments across the plant. Completed task after all dimensional and metallurgical validation was presented and approved by customer.~ Lead engineer assigned to major non-conformance issue. Maintained positive relationships with customer while mitigating internal problems. Problem solved after tool rework and extensive dimensional review was presented to customer.

Within the National Center for Photovoltaics, assisted in the research regarding the long term durability and reliability of photovoltaics. Responsible for coordinating and performing all testing and data management. Projects included the use of artificial weathering systems and spectrophotometers. Worked on several projects at one time with little supervision.
