Providing support to families in crisis to avoid homelessness and assisting them to sustain their tenancies. Dealing with all housing management tasks and providing person centred support. Developing relationships with internal departments as well as external agencies to enable me to sign post tenants onto the relevant agencies suitable to their needs.

The purpose of my role is to provide a range of support to help assist in the empowering of individual clients and families. To enrich their lives enabling them to achieve positive outcomes through a person centred planned programme of resettlement and to avoid repeat homelessness ensuring all support needs are met.I engage with my case load of clients on a weekly basis or more frequently if necessary depending on the agreed support plan. Liaising with Community Case Work teams and the allocated care manager to provide updates on the clients progress within the temporary accommodation they are been placed in. I assess their suitability and readiness for mainstream accommodation and liaise with Local Housing Officers to access suitable permanent offers, and provide resettlement support to avoid repeat homelessness.Working in the local community, resourcing and networking with projects and facilities that clients are able to access, to promote their wellbeing and self esteem.

To recruit young people who are ready to complete an employability course and help them into positive outcomes, in further training or employment, working together with the Outcomes Team.Responsible for creating and developing new relationships with referrers such as Skills Development Scotland / Job Centre Plus / Youth Teams - More Choices More Chances / Work Programmes etc, while building on existing relationships. Working together with these agencies to identify suitable young people aged between 16 & 25 who meet a specific target groups including educational underachievers, homeless young people, young people with offending history & young carers.Organising and delivering taster sessions for young people which involved group work activities / interactive sector specific tasks as well as observing individuals skills and identifying suitable young people who would benefit from employability courses.
